ADNORMOUS is dedicated to providing Green solutions whenever they are available as we believe we need to offer environmentally friendly alternatives. The following are outlines some examples of Green solutions that are available to be built into ADNORMOUS solutions for you:

BIOflex

BIOflex which has been engineered to be the FIRST truly environmentally friendly, biodegradable PVC sign and banner material.PVC has a remarkable balance of properties. It is strong, resistant to oil and chemicals, easily decorated, resistant to sunlight and weathering, flame resistant, and low in cost. PVC is often formulated with little regard for avoidance of toxic ingredients however BIOflex contains no toxic materials.

Previously PVC had been immortal in the landfill; no degradation was found after decades of landﬁll burial. When degradable materials, such as starch, were added, they were consumed in the landfill but the PVC itself was untouched. Ultraflex Systems has developed a nontoxic formula that, at very low levels, enables landﬁll decomposition of BIOflex.

In the landfill, the carbon and hydrogen content of BIOflex are partly consumed by the biomass organisms and partly released as methane from fermentation. In a well managed landfill, methane is harvested for use as fuel. The chlorine content of BIOflex is partly consumed and partly converted to soluble chloride. This has value as fertilizer since it makes soil nitrogen more rapidly available to plants. In experiments using landﬁll into which BIOflex had decomposed, as compost in potting soil, vegetables sprouted more rapidly than in controls.

X-Board

X-Board is an incredibly versatile, environmentally-friendly, alternative to MDF, particle board and chemical foamed-core boards. But it offers many more benefits too....

A new generation, high strength-to-weight ratio repulpable fibre board, it's closed-cell, honeycomb core is manufactured from recycled kraft papers and proprietary adhesives which together generate excellent crush resistance and overall board stiffness. Sandwiched between two UV ink receptive acid-free, white paper liners, X-Board should be disposed of after its useful life in paper recycling bins, making it the ultimate environmentally-friendly, wood or foam board substitute.

Mondi Xtreme

Mondi Xtreme is a new generation, flexible fibre board made from post-consumer recycled paper waste. A truly state-of-the-art material, MX exhibits excellent water and moisture hold-out capabilities for both internal and external branding applications. It's designed to replace polymer based (plastic) substrates commonly used in the short-term outdoor signage, event and display industries.
